The Secretariat is the corporate head office for ̽ and the Royal Institution for the Advancement of Learning. As such, it is responsible for oversight and facilitation of the activities of the Board of Governors, Senate, and their various committees, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the University’s system of governance. The Secretariat also carries out a range of regulatory functions including the administration of processes related to academic tenure and promotion, academic staff and student dispute resolutions, disclosure of wrongdoing, access to documents and the protection of personal information, University-wide elections and statutory advisory committees established for the selection or reappointment of the offices of the President, Provost, Deputy-Provost, vice-presidents, and deans.
